What is the commitment level for our family? It is important for parents to be reminded that participating in Tournament Play is a choice, and that while it is a privilege to play, it is also a commitment with added practices and games. Teams will practice anywhere from 3-5 times a week prior to the tournament starting, based off the coach’s availability. If teams win at the District Tournament, they will go on to play at the State Tournament (all dates and locations have not been released yet).
If you realize that your son or daughter has several conflicts, it may be a wise decision to pass on a tournament selection and allow another player to share in the experience.
Players/Families selected to anAll-StarTeam are making a commitment to attend all functions and tournament games until the team is eliminated from the tournament. This would include State, Regional & World Series tournaments for applicable divisions.
Covid Guidelines:Unless things dramatically improve on the Covid front before June 18th, please be aware that all players, coaches,parents/spectators will be required to masks for the duration of the DistrictAll-StarTournament, as well as the State & Regional Tournaments (if over the age of 2). A signature agreeing to this will be required on the family commitment letter for those who make anAll-StarTeam. So if your family is dead set against wearing a mask during theseAll-Startournaments, sadly this is not the year for your player to try out.
