Player Assessments are required for ALL baseball and softball players registered for Minors, Majors and Juniors.
The purpose of Player Assessments is to provide coaches insight on each player's individual ability. Coaches in Minor, Majors and Juniors draft players based on player assessments. Since the implementation of drafting players in these three divisions, Redmond Little League as seen a more competitive and equal playing environment which the board feels provides a better experience for all players involved.
2020 Player Assessments will be held the first week of March. Dates, times and locations will be announced as we get closer and have secured gym space.
If you do not know what Division your child is registered in, please refer to your RLL account, or the confirmation email you received when you completed their registration!
What players need to bring/have:
· Comfortable clothing. No bulky coats.
· Their Mitt
· RLL will provide bats, but if your child chooses to bring their own, it must be an approved USA bat with appropriate logo. All other bats will need to be removed from the building.
· If snow boots are necessary on your child’s day of assessments, please be sure to bring a pair of dry sneakers for them to change into!
All players registered for Minors, Majors & Juniors
are required to attend assessments!
Players are to wear tennis shoes and bring a mitt.
RLL will provide bats for assessments, but if your child insists on bring their own, it must be an approved *baseball bat under the new rules from last year (new USA logo). *Does not apply to softball bats
Bats will be checked at the door, and if it's not approved,
you will be asked to remove it from the building.
